Fabric Friday: A Frank Fabric Discussion
How is it that another week has flown by? Last week, I was down and out, I'm happy to report that I'm feeling MUCH better this week.
The biggest news out of my studio is that we have been without WiFi since Sunday afternoon, our ISP decided that they were terrible, and we dropped them like a hot potato for business class internet. That gets installed tomorrow, so luckily the TV drought will be over with! The other big news is that the first drawing happened on my Quilt Raffle Facebook Group! The quilt was won buy my Aunt! I will be sending it to her as soon as my internet is working again, and I can print the shipping label.
So let's talk about fabric, seriously for a minute. I know that my goal was to use more than I bought/brought in this year. I do know that I have not been doing well on that goal thus far. My year has seemed to be consumed more with business/paperwork/accounting stuff than it is sewing. I understand that those processes might become more streamlined and easier once I get used to them. And I will figure out the balance soon. This is to say that I have added more fabric, and not taken any out yet. However, I am already working on the new fabric, some has been cut and I have 1/3 of a quilt top finished!
So here's what the damage looks like:
Fabric in this week: 9 Yards
Fabric out this week: 0
Net Fabric this week: 9 Yards
Net Fabric 2018: 93.034 Yards
Yes the damage keeps rolling in, however, when I get home, I plan on loading another quilt on my long arm and getting another finish under my belt. It will involve making a back, so at least SOME fabric will be coming out. :)
As for long weekend plans? My husband and I have a BUNCH of stuff to do around the house, so we are doing a "home stuff" weekend. I hope that means I get some time on my machines! I am only 4 blocks away from finishing the blocks on my Bear Paw quilt, then I only have about 1,000,000,000 tiny half square triangles to sew together for a border.
So, I hope you are going to be having fun and doing some sewing over the long weekend. Take care, and until next time:
Piece and Long Arm!
