Hello!

Welcome to information central.  Come here to get the skinny on everything in the GeekQuilter universe!

Fabric Day, something to report!

Fabric Day, something to report!

Hey all!  I have been hard at work this week, working on a customer quilt.  I was also juggling finishing the quilt that was on my long arm machine so that I could quilt that customer quilt.  Well, the good news is that the customer quilt is all loaded and about half way quilted.  Pic to follow once it is delivered.  It is a gift, so in the unlikely event that it's new home is a reader, I will refrain from posting pics.  The quilt that I finished up before that was one for me, I had been posting some sneak peek pictures for you while I was working on it.  It didn't turn out perfectly, but I think it's pretty darned good, and I'm happy with it.  The free motion quilting (FMQ) by the time I had practiced all the way to the bottom were pretty good.  I guess what they say, "Practice makes proficient..." is true. :)  Now to start on that 5 yards of pebbles...  uhh...  no...

So, let's see how the fabric numbers look, shall we?

Fabric in this week:  7.5 yards
Fabric out this week:  14.098 yards
Net Fabric this week:  -6.598 yards
Net Fabric 2018:  77.340

Hey, it's not a big dent, but it's a downward motion.  I will take it.  The fabric that came in was the special "Cuddle" backing for the customer quilt that I am working on.  It wasn't my favorite to work with, and I don't think I would use it on a quilt this large again, but on a small, baby or kid sized quilt, I would certainly do it again.  The fabric that went "out" is the top and binding for this quilt.  Well, I really need to be off, I am expecting a number of phone calls today and I need to get back to work, so until next time!

Piece!  And Long arm!
