On an Actual Friday
Hello Again Friends!
School work is on hold while I drop a few nuggets of information on you! In my last blog I shared with you how busy things have been around here, one of the reasons is this AWESOME quilt that I finished on a commission. It was so much more work that I reasonably should have taken on in the time I had available, but it was so cool that I couldn’t turn it down. And I think it turned out amazingly well, no matter how far behind it put me on my reading assignments!
So in other news, there’s fabric… I had a binge… On of my favorite online shops had a 20% off sale on Cotton+Steel fabrics… My Kryptonite. So, the numbers after last week’s high being under 50 yards, no more… Here’s how it worked out:
Fabric in this week: 41.25 yards
Fabric out this week: 2.5 yards
Net Fabric this week: 38.75 yards
Net Fabric 2018: 87.496 yards
I did have a finish that went out over the weekend, but the 2.5 yard baby quilt isn’t enough to offset the Cotton+Steel binge. Luckily, I have a few quilts in the works to use some of that fabric up right away. My school semester will be done in a couple of weeks, and am planning to hit the quilting pretty hard then. There are more than a couple of things that I want to get done before the end of the year.
Well friends, back to the books for me. Have a good week, I’m going to make every effort to be back with you next week, even if there’s nothing to report.
Until then, Piece and Long Arm!
