Post Christmas Post
I'm not sure if I've mentioned this, but my husband is AWESOME! First off, if you're wondering, we have decided to postpone our trip to the Finger Lakes, as it is CRAZY cold and snowy here. We figured we would be miserable going in and out of the cold and probably would have just laid around in the hotel. Staying home, we could do some activities (listen to records for him, sew for me!) that we have precious little time to do. Then next week, when our niece visits, we can spend time with her and not be torn wanting to do our own "things."
So if you celebrate Christmas, how was it? Ours was quiet, and so in a word, divine! While we missed being with family, the travel (especially considering the Christmas Day Blizzard conditions here), would have probably killed me with worry. So us and the dogs tucked into some good food, watched a marathon of Christmas movies and just generally enjoyed opening a few gifts.
My hubby wrote me some software (he's a software engineer), to make making my 8-bit quilts easier for me! (HUGE YAY!) and we got each other Surface Pro Tablets! GREAT Christmas gifts. I have been exclusively a Mac user for 12 or 13 years, I haven't touched a PC in a long long time, so getting used to it again (I was a HARDCORE PC fan until Windows 7 came out, *shiver*), but I think I'm getting back into the swing of it... I had to have a Windows machine, though because that's what my software is written for. Plus, the drawing/doodle/handwriting features on the Surface, I admit ARE pretty freaking cool.
If you are not a Christmas celebrator, I hope I haven't lost you yet. What are your Holiday traditions? Whatever Holiday you celebrate, I am genuinely interested in your celebration. Food and family? Loud and Jolly? Feats of strength? *wink* Well, I'm taking up precious sewing time by blogging, so I will catch you on the flip-side And until next time:
